UK number format: +44
UK mobile numbers are +44 7xxx xxx xxx (dialled 07xxx in the UK, 11 digits). Carriers: EE, O2,
Vodafone, Three. Services sending the most codes to these lines this week: Telegram, WhatsApp,
Google; local sign-ups like Vinted, Deliveroo, Monzo sign-ups, Royal Mail tracking go through as
well.
A number from a 'UK number generator' has the right 07 format and no inbox. The lines above are
carrier numbers with an inbox. This week they were used for Vinted, Deliveroo, a second Telegram and
Monzo waitlists. Codes from UK short codes (60xxx, 8xxxx senders) arrive as normal SMS.
SIMs are sold without ID in the UK, so public UK numbers are the most common on free lists and the
most burned. Ours are rotated out after 6 months, not reused.
Will not work: UK banks, HMRC and NHS logins. They demand ID or a personal account; no shared number
passes. Need a UK number nobody else can read? A private UK number is yours alone for 6 months.
Amazon, Instagram, TikTok, Discord, Outlook, LinkedIn, Bumble and Hinge all send their codes to +44
7 lines as plain SMS; the inbox shows which of them a line has already verified, and a fresh line is
the one to take for a second account on the same service.
